We had a hard fought first test. Charleston had two break away trys, where they just wore down our defense and were able to exploit overloads and open gaps on both the forward and back d-lines. We had numerous great stops inside our twenty-two and if it wasn't for a couple of border line calls on the refs part inside our attacking 22 we would have put up a higher number than the 5 that Johnny's run brought us. Personally, I think that we played a good game in terrible conditions. Our counterattack was tremendously improved and quite frankly, put the attacking side on their heels the majority of the time. We passed and caught the ball well, we maintained (offense) the ball on the majority of set plays and won a handful on defense, and other than the few good runs on our oppositions part the game could have gone either way. The score, in my opinion, did not do our efforts justice. Well played boys, we will get em next week.
