Match vs Golden Isles 9/4/10

Gents,

Get excitied.  Get really excitied.

This Saturday we will be playing Golden Isles as our first match of the season.  The match will be at our home pitch.  Match time is scheduled for 2pm.  There will be an A and B game.  So, plenty of playing time for everyone.  Social after the second match with location TBD.  EVERYONE should plan on arriving to the pitch no later than 1230PM.  EVERYONE who plans on playing must have cleats on by 1PM and be ready to warm up.

Thursday 9/2 Practice

Thursdsay 9/2 practice will be from 730 to 830.

Bring Jerseys to practice

Hey guys. I heard that some of the jerseys are floating around still since the tournament. If you have a team jersey please  bring it to practice tomorrow, the 25th, so that we can account for all of them.
Luke, glad to see you made it safe. We will be kicking ass while your gone. See you when you get back.

Scrimage and Playing Spots

Guys,

As I said at the first practice of the season, one of the goals of this fall season is to develop a team of 30 plus players.  We will be having an intersquad scrimage this saturday at the end of the 8-1030AM practice.   This will be a good chance for new and old players to show their stuff.  All starting spots are up for graps at this point.

Things that can held you gain a spot are:  1.) Conditioning 2.) Practice Attendance  #.) Knowledge of the game

  Just wanted to let you all know that I'm in country now, and that I'm still checking on the boys. I'll be checking the site every so often. So Ben and Brian keep putting up the scores, play-by-plays, and any other info to keep me in the loop. I'll see you guys when I return.

Dedication

New Guys... I have really been impressed by your development and dedication to practice so far this season.  New players are key to our development as a team.

Saturday Practice 8/21/10

Tomorrow we will do a fitness test at the start of practice to see where everyone stands.  This will be a timed event. We will repeat this in a few weeks to see how everyone is improving.

Test : try line to near 22meter and back, try line to mid field and back, try line to far 22meter and back, try line to far try line and back. Repeat this 1 time.

Elite Rugby - Under 3:45 minutes
Competitive Rugby - 3:45 minutes to 4
Recreational Rugby - 4minutes and over
